Anyone Can Make a Film
2:30 p.m. - 3:15 p.m.
Scriptwriter and producer/director Andrew Osborne introduces the theme "Anyone Can Make a Film" illustrated with sample productions created by students at the Burt Wood School of Performing Arts. Andrew is a Middleborough High School graduate. His short documentary, Dramarama (shown at ArtsFest 2004), about Middleboro High School's winning participation in the Massachusetts HS Drama Guild, won the attention of Warner Brothers Studios. Warner Brothers is planning to produce a full-length motion picture based on Andrew's script.

Animation with Karen Aqua
3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Spend an entertaining sojourn with animated film producer Karen Aqua as she takes us on a journey through her personal film library.


BIO
Since 1976, Karen Aqua has created animated films exploring the themes of ritual, journeys, transformation, and the human spirit. Much of her work reflects an interest in symbols, mythology, and prehistoric and tribal cultures, including elements of rhythm, dance, and music.

Her award-winning films have been screened nationally and internationally at film festivals, museums, and universities. Aqua's animation appears regularly on Sesame Street.
