Bill Pierce

Bill Pierce began his career as a member of Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers. Shortly after joining this group, Mr. Pierce became its musical director. He then went on to join the Tony Williams Quintet, the great drummer from Mile's Davis second great quintet. Bill Pierce has recorded with Wynton Marsalis, Branford Marsalis, Freddie Hubbard, Elvin Jones, Hank Jones, Thad Jones, Mulgrew Miller, Donald Brown, James Williams and Stevie Wonder. Bill Pierce is currently Chair of the Ensemble Department at the Berklee School of Music in Boston, MA.


Phil Grenadier

Phil Grenadier is one of Boston's leading Jazz trumpeters. Phil has 2 CD's out as a leader under the Fresh Sounds, New Ideas Label, one of the most forward looking and progressive recording labels in Jazz. Phil has traveled to Europe, Spain, Portugal and the West Coast to perform his compositions and perform with other great, young jazz musicians.


Ron Mahdi

Ron Mahdi, currently on staff in the Bass Department at Berklee, has toured and recorded with many Jazz greats such as Roy Haynes, the great drummer who played and recorded with Charlie Parker, James Williams, Donald Brown and Mulgrew Miller.


Ron Savage

Ron Savage, started as Chair of the Percussion Department at the Berklee School of Music, and is currently the Chair of the Ensemble Department at Berklee. Ron has toured and recorded with the Mulgrew Miller trio and with the Mulgrew Miller Quintet, Wingspan.


Phill Argyris


A student of the great Jazz pianists and composers Harold Mabern and Cedar Walton, Phill Argyris has been contributing to the Boston Jazz scene for the past 10 years. Phil has performed with Stan Strickland, the great Boston-based Jazz saxophonist and vocalist, and with Herb Pomeroy, the great trumpeter who played in Duke Ellington's band and recorded with Charlie Parker. Phill's first CD, 'A Point of Departure', was met with critical acclaim and was the most requested CD on Boston's WGBH Radio when released.
